An initial evaluation at First Steps Prosthetics & Orthotics will consist of a formal evaluation where we will assess your orthotic and prosthetic needs. A trained clinician will test your strength, range of motion and joint integrity. They will use this information and take into consideration your goals and current prognosis to determine the best prosthesis or orthosis for you. Evaluations and follow up appointments may be done at our Rowlett office which contains all necessary equipment to complete a formal orthopedic assessment. Patient’s may also be seen in their home if it is too difficult to be seen at the office.
